• 1. What does 3D interactivity mean?
    • Manipulating the interaction in 3 dimensional viewing is the most fascinating aspect of a Cyber-Anatomy™ system. Having complete control over the anatomical structures elevates the learning experience to an unprecedented dimension.

Our proprietary, real-time simulation environment makes available a full set of interactive functions. Rotation, dissecting, zooming in or out, peeling away muscle layers, focusing on specific organs, are just a few examples of the flexibility allowed to the student or teacher as he/she becomes immersed in the unforgettable learning experience.

  • 2. What distinguishes Cyber-Anatomy VR™ technology from the multimedia systems that have been around for the past decade?
    • The key phrase is "real-time behavior"; being able to view and manipulate models in real-time, which requires software capable of computing and creating the virtual world as the user decides where he or she wishes to go. It is a level of immersive interaction never before experienced.

  • 3. Can Cyber-Anatomy run inside an existing VR multi-channel system (such as CAVE, ICUBE, PowerWall, etc.?)
    • Yes, the Cluster Virtualization plug-in enables Cyber-Anatomy™ users to run high-performance and fully synchronized multi-channel simulations, using a cluster of PCs linked together in a local area network. Supported VR displays (partial list):

      - Virtual reality cubic rooms (e.g. SAS Cube®, CAVE®, VR Cube®, I-Space®)
      - Panoramic rooms (e.g. Reality Center®)
      - Immersive tables/desks (e.g. Baron®, ImmersaDesk®, Workbench®)
      - High-resolution image walls (e.g. CAD wall)
      - Desktop multi-monitors
      - Any head mounted displays or VR goggles
      - Any custom shaped set of fixed or reconfigurable screens

  • 4. What is the difference between Cyber-Anatomy International™ and Cyber-Anatomy Lab™?
    • The primary distinction is the number of students that can be suitably instructed. The Cyber-Anatomy International™ system has a walled screen that is 8x10 feet in size and is permanently installed. A classroom setting with up to 200 students is possible.

Cyber-Anatomy Lab™ is considered "portable" in that it can be set up in under 10 minutes and was designed for a conference room setting. The maximum number of students would be 6.

  • 5. Is Cyber-Anatomy available in both Male and Female versions?
    • Yes, both male and female anatomical structures are available.

  • 6. Is a site license obtainable?
    • Yes, it can be delivered as a site license or as a standalone (node-locked) license to run on a PC or in bundles.

  • 7. Are products sold directly from the manufacturer or from a distributor?

  • 9. Why was Cyber-Anatomy VR™ created?
    • The Cyber-Anatomy VR systems were originally created for doctors in Middle Eastern countries where, due to religious beliefs and customs, cadavers are not available. Today, it transcends global requirements.

Fulfilling this enormous need not only provides the potential for improving quality of life, but also extending the lifespan for the millions of people living throughout the Middle Eastern cultures and beyond.

By providing a realistic and immersive environment for virtual dissection and exploration of anatomy, teachers and doctors are able to advance their students' core cirriculum and understanding of the human body, without the sacrifice of precious cadaver organs.

  • 10. Who is the intended user of Cyber-Anatomy VR™?
    • The simple answer is ANYONE who wishes to become immersed in a three-dimensional anatomical environment and walk away with an unforgettable learning experience! More precisely, students and teachers of all cirriculum levels that span Junior High (grades 6-8), High School (grades 9-12), community college, university anatomy courses (gross anatomy labs in particular), nurses and medical students, doctors in teaching hospitals as well as doctors wishing to simplify patient education.

  • 11. What is the goal of the company?
    • Our goal is to immerse the learner in a visually stimulating, interactive and three-dimensional environment, reflective of both the development of the learner and the cirricular context.
